WHO WE ARE
a community serving the waterloo region
The 519 Community Collective is a thriving non-profit that boasts 11 programs including a community fridge, nourish kitchen, urban garden, more than 20 little free food pantries installed across the region, an assortment of emergency food programs, and more.
With very humble beginnings, 519 Community Collective started as a grassroots mission that was created on March 30th 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are one of many groups working together to fill gaps within the Waterloo region. We advocate for many seniors, individuals, single parents and families who are living in shelters or transitional living by providing emergency aid and essentials to create a better and more stable tomorrow.
